Obtained his CIMA Professional Accountancy qualification with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK and was admitted as a Member of the Institute in 1995. Registered as a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants & an Associate Member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia, he received his Masters of Business Administration from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, UK.
Lim Say Leong started his career in Accounting & Finance and has over the years held key senior management and board positions in large scale organisations and public listed companies as the Group CEO and Group Executive Director. He has been involved in numerous corporate exercises and operational works, amongst others IPOs, M & A, restructuring and rightsizing, corporate funding, internal training, management and operational controls in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, China, US and Australia over the last 30 years of his career and business.
He is currently a local independent advisor to a major group of audit firms with a combined annual turnover of over US$2.5 billion worldwide. Mr Lim had served as both a committee member of CIMA Penang Branch and the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) Northern Branch and is also a honorary internal auditor of an Association in Penang.
Mr. Lim sits on the Board of a number of PLCs as an Independent Director. In his spare time, he enjoys a good read and the great outdoors. He is assisted by a team of 6 dedicated personnel. He works with a team of relevant professionals from business to engineering.
